Our Terms & Conditions

Wild Atlas Explorations (“WAE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an independent travel advisory affiliated with Fora Travel, Inc. (“Fora”). We plan trips and, acting as your travel advisor and as agent for the suppliers who provide the travel services, book them with lodges, camps, hotels, airlines, ground operators and other providers. Bookings are made through Fora as host agency and seller of travel. We do not own or operate any of the travel services we book. By paying a planning fee or booking travel services through us, you (“you,” “traveler,” or “client”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Planning FeeOur trip-design and consultation fee is $250. It is credited in full toward the cost of your booked trip, and it is non-refundable if you do not book.
This fee covers destination research, itinerary planning, proposal drafts, consultation calls, and coordination with suppliers.
2. Payments & Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only when you approve the itinerary and price, the required deposit or full payment (depending on timing) has been received, and the supplier has confirmed the booking. Payments are made through Fora or directly to the supplier, depending on the booking, and each supplier’s payment terms apply.
Typical payment structure:
Deposit: 25–40% of the total trip cost (varies by destination and supplier requirements)
Final Balance: Due 60–90 days prior to departure, or as the supplier requires. Late payments may result in the supplier cancelling the booking. All prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise indicated.
3. Cancellations, Changes & Refunds Client-Initiated Cancellations: Each booking is subject to the supplier’s own terms, and cancellation, change and refund policies are set by the supplier.
Generally:
Deposits are non-refundable after confirmation.
Payments made after the deposit may be partially refundable based on supplier rules and the timing of cancellation.
Cancellations made within 60 days of travel are typically 100% non-refundable.
Refunds, if any, follow the supplier’s policy and are issued only once the supplier releases them, directly or through Fora.
Changes by the Traveler We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes. Additional costs or fees from suppliers will be passed through to the traveler.
Changes by Suppliers Suppliers may change or cancel services due to unexpected circumstances. If that happens, we will work with them to find a comparable alternative where possible. Any refund or credit is governed by the supplier’s policy.
4. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance, including trip cancellation, interruption, medical and evacuation coverage, is strongly recommended. Some destinations or operators may require proof of coverage. It is the traveler’s responsibility to purchase adequate insurance.
5. Traveler Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
Ensuring your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond travel dates
Obtaining visas, entry permits, vaccinations, and health documentation
Adhering to customs, laws, and regulations of the destinations visited
Communicating any medical conditions or mobility limitations prior to booking
Reviewing all itinerary documents, confirmations, and travel details for accuracy
WAE is not responsible for denial of entry, missed flights, or costs arising from incomplete or inaccurate personal documentation.
6. Health, Fitness & Assumption of Risk
Trips we plan and book may involve remote locations, wildlife encounters, uneven terrain, active excursions, and outdoor activities provided by Suppliers. By booking through us, you acknowledge that you are participating voluntarily with full understanding of the inherent risks, that you are physically capable of the activities included, and that, to the extent permitted by law, you assume responsibility for your personal safety and any resulting injury or loss.
7. Supplier Responsibility & Liability
WAE acts as a travel advisor and as agent for the Suppliers. Lodges, camps, hotels, airlines, transfer companies, ground operators, guides, and activity providers (“Suppliers”) provide the travel services and are responsible for providing them. Suppliers are independent businesses and are not agents or employees of WAE or Fora.
Therefore:
To the extent permitted by law, WAE is not liable for the acts, omissions, negligence, delays, or failures of Suppliers
To the extent permitted by law, WAE is not responsible for injury, illness, property damage, theft, or death arising from Supplier services
WAE is not responsible for events beyond our control such as weather, wildlife behavior, political unrest, epidemics, natural disasters, or government actions. Any claims arising from Supplier performance must be made directly with the Supplier, under the Supplier’s terms.
8. Itinerary Modifications Due to Force Majeure
Suppliers may modify or cancel any portion of a trip due to circumstances outside their or our control, including but not limited to weather events, pandemic-related border issues, strikes, or operational limitations. If that happens, we will help you rebook or adjust the itinerary. Refunds are not guaranteed in such situations, as Supplier policies will govern.
9. Pricing & Fluctuations
Trip prices may fluctuate due to:
Foreign exchange rates
Supplier adjustments
Fuel surcharges
Government taxes or fees
Suppliers may pass these changes on before final payment, and we will tell you about any change.
10. Use of Images & Testimonials
You grant WAE permission to use non-identifiable photographs, feedback, and testimonials from your trip in marketing materials, unless you notify us otherwise in writing.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be handled exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Norfolk County, Massachusetts.
12. Acceptance of Terms
Payment of the planning fee or any trip deposit signifies your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and of the applicable Supplier terms.
