Independent, Fora-affiliated, and honest about the camps I haven't stayed at yet — I'd rather tell you that than sell you a brochure.

I'm the founder of Wild Atlas Explorations. I plan custom safaris across Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia, South Africa, Uganda, Rwanda and Zimbabwe. My rule is season-first: the same camp is a different trip in a different month, so we start with when, then where, then which lodge. I'm independent — not tied to any lodge group. I plan your trip for a $250 planning fee, credited in full toward the trip you book; the properties pay me a commission on bookings, so that fee is the only thing you pay me directly.
A 20-minute planning call — where you want to go, when, and who's coming.
The $250 planning fee — credited in full toward your trip. It covers your property briefing and a custom itinerary built around the right season.
You travel, I handle the rest — operators, transfers, internal flights and the details in between, with support while you're on the ground.
Tell me about the trip you’re dreaming of. It starts with a 20-minute planning call. From there, a $250 planning fee, credited in full toward your booked trip and non-refundable if you don’t book. I brief the property before you arrive — that's what the fee funds. I take on a limited number of trips at a time — if we’re not a fit, I’ll tell you straight.
How much does a safari cost? A well-planned safari usually runs $1,000–$2,500 per person per day depending on country, season and camps. The biggest lever is timing — the same itinerary can cost 40% less in green season. I'll give you a straight number for your dates before you commit to anything beyond the planning fee.
When should I book? For peak season (July–October), the best camps sell out 9–12 months ahead. Six months is workable; twelve is better. If your dates are close, ask anyway — cancellations and green-season space change the picture.
Do you only plan safaris? No. Wild Atlas plans luxury trips across Peru, Australia, Europe, beaches and mountains too. Safaris are where I go deepest.
What does the $250 planning fee cover — and is it refundable? It covers your planning call follow-up, a property briefing for your route, and a custom itinerary. It's credited in full toward your trip when you book; it's non-refundable if you don't, because the work is the product.
