The ryokan has 15 villas in Japanese and Western layouts, and every one has an indoor and an open-air bath fed by the inn's own hot spring source. Dinner is kita kaiseki, a northern take on the Japanese multi-course meal, built on Hokkaido ingredients.
Zaborin is not on the slopes. The lifts at Hanazono and Grand Hirafu are a short drive away, and we arrange transfers so you can ski the Niseko United mountain by day and come back to the bath. In summer the forest setting suits a slower stay, with cycling, rafting and hikes around Mount Yotei nearby. Kutchan station is about 15 minutes by car.
Zaborin suits couples who want a true ryokan experience, with privacy and very good food. It is quiet and follows a set rhythm, with fixed dinner times, so it is not for travelers who want nightlife or a ski-in, ski-out hotel. Many guests pair a few nights here with a hotel on the slopes.
Zaborin is a ryokan, a traditional Japanese inn, set in forest in the Hanazono area of Niseko. Each of its 15 villas has its own indoor and outdoor hot spring bath.
