Tuludi

Khwai Private Reserve, northeastern Okavango Delta

The camp is built among large leadwood trees in the south of the reserve, with raised decks and walkways. Each room has a private deck with a plunge pool, and one family room adds a second bedroom with twin beds. The main building has three levels of decking, a library about four meters up in the trees, a bar, a dining area, a fire pit and a pool. Banoka airstrip is a 15-minute drive away.

Activities include game drives, walking safaris, boat trips and mokoro excursions. Elephant and buffalo herds are often on the plains near camp, and lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog all occur in the reserve. Because Khwai is a private concession, walks are possible here, which they are not inside Moremi Game Reserve next door. In a Botswana trip, Tuludi works as a varied camp that combines land and water in the eastern Delta.

Tuludi suits couples, design-minded travelers and families who can use the family room. Water activities depend on the season and the flood, so check what will run on your dates. The camp is unfenced, and guests are escorted after dark. With only a handful of rooms, availability is limited, so plan ahead for the dry season, and pair it with a camp in the western or northern Delta if you want more time on the water.

Tuludi is a Natural Selection camp in the Khwai Private Reserve, a private concession on the northeastern side of the Okavango Delta. We recommend it for its treehouse-style design and a mix of game drives, walks and water activities, and it suits couples and families who want a stylish small camp.
