Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc

Cap d'Antibes, France

The hotel dates to 1870, when Antoine Sella opened the Grand Hotel du Cap. Today, under Oetker Hotels, its 111 rooms are spread across the Villa Soleil, the Eden-Roc Pavilion and the Les Deux Fontaines residence, with a handful of private villas. The park runs from the main house down to the Eden-Roc pavilion and the heated seawater infinity pool carved into the rock.

It sits halfway between Cannes and Nice, so Antibes, the hill villages and the rest of the Riviera are easy to reach. The Eden-Roc restaurant, Louroc and The Grill are all on site, and the pool and the sea make it hard to leave. Pair it with Paris for a classic France trip, or with Portofino along the coast.

The hotel suits couples and families who want a grand resort and a long summer stay. It is very expensive, and dates around the Cannes Film Festival in May fill early. It is strictly seasonal, open from late April to mid-October in 2026, and closed the rest of the year.

Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc stands in nine hectares of gardens at the tip of Cap d'Antibes, with a seawater pool cut into the rocks above the Mediterranean. It has been the Riviera's grand summer hotel for well over a century, and nothing else on the coast feels quite like it.
