Higashiyama Niseko Village, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

Niseko Village, Hokkaido, Japan

The hotel opened in December 2020, the debut of the Ritz-Carlton Reserve brand in Japan. It is small for a hotel of its kind, with rooms and suites that use Japanese materials and look toward Mount Yotei or the slopes. There is an onsen and a spa, and dining focuses on Hokkaido produce.

The hotel is ski-in, ski-out in Niseko Village, close to the gondola, and the Niseko United pass covers Grand Hirafu, Hanazono and Annupuri as well. Niseko Village has a small pedestrian village with shops and restaurants. In summer the area has golf, rafting and hiking around Mount Yotei. New Chitose Airport is about two hours by road.

Higashiyama suits couples and small families who want a quiet, intimate hotel with Japanese character. With few rooms, it fills early for January and February. Niseko Village is calmer than Hirafu, so you will take a shuttle or taxi for a wider choice of restaurants.

Higashiyama Niseko Village is a small ski-in, ski-out hotel in Niseko Village, on the southern side of Niseko. It opened in December 2020 as the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Japan.
