Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti

Central Serengeti National Park

The lodge sits in the central Serengeti, inside the national park, and is built around a two-story main house with walkways out to the rooms. It is much bigger than most safari properties, with 77 rooms, suites and villas, some suites with plunge pools and villas with private pools. The infinity pool overlooks a waterhole where elephants regularly come to drink.

Game drives head out to the central Serengeti, including the Seronera area, which holds resident wildlife all year and sees the migration pass through at certain times. There is a spa, a gym, a Discovery Centre with exhibits on local wildlife and culture, and a kids' club. The nearest scheduled airstrip is Seronera, about 50 minutes away by road, so we usually pair it with flights in and out.

This is a good choice for families, multigenerational groups and anyone who wants hotel service, wheelchair-accessible rooms or a pool to come back to. It is a big property, so it feels more like a resort than a camp, and you share the park roads with other vehicles. If you want a small camp atmosphere or a private reserve, look at Lamai or Sasakwa instead.

Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti is a large, full-service hotel in the central Serengeti, and we recommend it for its waterhole views, family facilities and hotel comforts inside the national park. It suits families and travelers who want space and services between game drives.
