Amanzoe

Porto Heli, Peloponnese, Greece

Aman calls it a modern-day Acropolis, and its white pavilions sit on a hill with views in every direction. There are 38 pavilions, three of them on the beach, plus villas set among olive groves. Every pavilion and villa has a private pool. A short drive below is the resort's own beach club and its restaurant, Nura.

Porto Heli and Ermioni are ten minutes away, and Spetses and Hydra are easy boat trips. The theater at Epidaurus and the ancient sites of the Argolid are within reach for day trips. From Athens airport it is about two and a half hours by car or 25 minutes by helicopter, so it pairs well with a few days in Athens.

Amanzoe suits couples and families who want a resort with real privacy and room to spread out. It is very expensive. The setting is quiet and somewhat removed, so you will rely on drivers and boats to explore. The resort is seasonal, generally open from April to mid-November.

Amanzoe crowns a hilltop above Porto Heli on the Peloponnese coast, with whitewashed pavilions that each have their own pool and views across olive groves to the sea. It is the Greek resort we suggest for space, privacy and easy access to the islands of Hydra and Spetses.
